Bernie's CarrotmobFolks,

Over the past year. I have met with hundreds of neighbors, merchants, parents, and community members in District 8. From Glen Park to Upper Market, Diamond Heights to Valencia Corridor, people are passionate about San Francisco. We love this City, and we want to see it thrive.

Ordinary people can do extraordinary things – that’s the key lesson I learned from my work in the Barack Obama campaign. That spirit propels me to invite you to a very special event in our neighborhood – San Francisco’s third Carrotmob at Bernie’s Coffee Shop on 24th Street in Noe Valley.

On Sunday, October 18th, we will be storming Bernie’s from 11am-2pm. Bernie’s will spend 40% of the proceeds generated during that time to make their business even more environmentally friendly. Carrotmob has a proven track record of encouraging small businesses to become more green by rewarding them with a “mob” of customers – a win-win for everyone.

Giving people a tangible opportunity to make a positive difference – that is what Carrotmob is all about, and that is the type of event I am proud to be a part of!

More information can be found on the flyer and the Facebook group.

I hope to see you all there on the 18th. Bring a friend, or two or three, and please contact me with any questions!

Rebecca
