Thanks to your help and support, our first formal fundraiser at the Orbit Room exceeded expectations. With more than 100 people attending Rebecca’s fundraising launch, the energy was incredible.
The crowd represented the finest of San Francisco’s diversity — neighborhood leaders, non-profit contributors, small business owners, Democratic activists – with everyone venturing to the Orbit Room to celebrate why Rebecca is the best match for District 8.
Each person’s reason for supporting Rebecca was inspiring. Most had worked with her and appreciate how she delivers for San Francisco and for District 8. And, of course, the event was a lot of fun. Folks who hadn’t seen each other in months rekindled old friendships and everyone made new ones. See the fun in action by clicking here and make sure to become a fan.
Event host and Community College Board member Steve Ngo spoke of Rebecca’s heart and how she truly cares for all San Franciscans. And Rebecca’s speech? It was a home run.
This campaign is not about you or me. It’s about the parent in Noe Valley who wants to send their children to public schools but can’t because San Francisco isn’t providing our best. It’s about the resident in Glen Park who fears walking home from the BART station because of the rash of robberies that plague that neighborhood. It’s about the merchant in the Castro who struggles to make ends meet every month. This campaign is about San Francisco.”
Thanks to you and your generous support, our fundraising launch at the Orbit Room was truly momentous.
Be involved in this campaign. Do it for the person in Glen Park who is concerned for their safety on the street, the parent in Noe Valley who wants to send their kid to public schools, the merchant in the Castro who wants to make ends meet. Do it for the future of San Francisco.
Looking forward to our next event!
